Is an RI contagious??
I doubt that it would be contagious, but I would check into why it got the RI and get that fixed. If the causes are environmental, you may see it in some of your other animals if you have any.

nothing personal, but the average keeper should not be dolling out advice that should only be done by a qualified veterinarian. RI can take on MANY forms and in some cases, respiratory diseases can be EXTREMELY contagious. And, in other cases, the disease is localized to just the patient. I have known entire collections to be wiped out by supposed "RI" being mistaken for various virulent viruses. folks need to be real careful when giving advice (plus, someone giving veterinary advice can actually be liable...just something to think about).

I do apologize for any misinformation I may have given. I was merely relaying information I was given by a vet a few years ago. I was treating an adoption for RI. I could have very easily been given misinformation, and I do apologize for giving such.
