I have had two mice the run in circles and always the same direction. Does anyone know what causes this? The do it constantly.

I'd assume an inner ear infection. Affects balance and causes them to run in circles.

crap! I fed them off thinking they had a birth defect. I just started a breeding colony so I did not want to introduce any defects. Oh well, thanks for the reply.

Just as well to feed them off unless you have access to baytril to treat them, it would likely have not improved otherwise. Get new started and you will be fine.

It could of been a birth defect. There is a gene in mice that makes them walk in circles. They call they "waltzing mice", it also shortens there lifespand.
