No Drama, Just a Pic!

Here is a photo one of my Thayeri. He is a 2002 male from Dan Vermilya's line of white Thayeri. Dan traces this line back to a wild caught specimen collected in the 1970's in Coahuila, Mexico.

Anyone who would like to challenge the pedigree of this snake can send a self addressed, stamped envelope to me, and I will provide a shed skin for DNA sequencing!

Here's one to turm the stomachs of getula purists! A natural intergrade between nigritus, splendida, and californiae. I posted some other photos of this snake about 6 weeks ago. He was wild collected near my home in Tucson, AZ where the ranges of all three ssp overlap.

Awesome! These are my '03 Yuma kings I got from John Cherry this year. They were produced from four adults caught just outside Yuma. They have solid black bellies and considerable speckling on the sides. These are John's pictures but I keep meaning to take some new pictures.

Maybe no drama but a lovely snake... And a funny sense of humor.
