Caging question..........

zooguy Jul 28, 2004 07:29 PM

My little corn is getting bigger and I need a bigger cage (about 2 feet now!). I am just curious if a 36"W x 18"D x 16"H cage (40 gal breeder) is big enough to house my snake comfortably? I just don't want to get the cage and then have to upgrade again in a few years!!! Thank you all for your time!

Yes, a 40 breeder will house an adult corn no problem! He/She will be very comfortable in that size cage their entire adult life, in my humble opinion. Think of all the breeders who use plastic tubs no where near that size to house adult corns!

A 40 breeder is more then sufficient to house a corn snake for it's entire life.

Try and find the 40 breeders with the slide in screen top. It's cheaper than buying both tank and screen, and it's escape proof and you can lock them.Ive never had an escape from one yet...Paul.

Thanks to everyone. The one I'm looking at has a sliding screen top. I was hoping that it would be secure enough. It's going to cost me about $95 plus tax is that about right?
