Wow - an amazing new morph - the Candy Cane Nic!! (dial up warning!)

LauraV Jul 28, 2004 11:09 PM

I bet you thought you were going to see a pic of a candy cane with a boa's head...sorry to disappoint.

I've just noticed my Nic seems to be changing color...This wasn't a shed thing...he hasn't shed...but, he has definitely gotten lighter...seems to have a hypo's ability to change colors.

The darker side (can get darker still):

Here is how I saw him when I first walked in the room. Quality of pic is bad, but reds were vivid:

Brief photo shoot on black mesh (you can see the pink igloo and white water bowl beneath some of them):

Color comparison (very accurate):

Attitude - he's mean as spit!:

This one was fun to get:

He refuses to let me out of his site:

I was going to sell him...but after seening these...I'd be interested in seeing how he grows out.

the candy cane boa is a work in progress with Brian Sharp.
that snake doesn't look at all like the orriginal Candy cane.
But I do not see what you see though, maybe your looking too hard. those smudges happen quite often in CA's .
Or maybe i'm just blind.

He was bone white and red last night, that is all. I didn't know there was a candy cane morph - I was only playing with a name (I did not know was taken already), not being serious at all. It was just meant in fun. I'm sorry if you or Brian Sharp were offended by my jest. I'm glad to see that most people saw my post as it was intended - in FUN.

Not grinching at all, and I thaught you were serious as most people are when they claim something new. I'm sure I Brian was not offended, I don't think he reads this forum stuff. And I know I was not offended, I just was plugging Brians snake, but what eva.

No, I was never serious. But, I am glad to hear someone is working on a red and white boa...if it can maintain those colors into adulthood, that would be something to see.

WOW glad to see im not the only one with a hissy brat, was strangeling myself trying to figure out why mine hisses so much and everyone better be right when saying they'll grow out of it. I have to buy a hook for mine now as she is growing out of all shoe boxes i have and pushing out of the snap on ones, so time for a cage. Hate treating them like their posinous with a darn hook, but gotta do what ya gotta do I guess. Sad really.
