Our most AMAZING litter ever!!!!

BASICALLYBOAS Jul 29, 2004 06:20 AM

Well we have had some really nice litters in the last few weeks, but yesterday's litter is our best litter to date for us!

We bred our female Stripe Het Albino to our male Sunglow Het Stripe for a 4-week period. Then our male Motley decided to get into the breeding mode, so we pulled the Sunglow and let the Motley male breed her up until she ovulated which was around a 6 week period.
Our female birthed on her 101st day post P.O.S and to our surprise there was Striped Sunglows, Striped Albinos, Striped Salmons and………yep……..Motleys in the litter!! We were hoping the male Motley did the job because we can always use a few Motleys Poss Het Albino around, but we never dreamed we would get Striped Sunglows, Striped Albinos and the Motleys in the same litter!
There were 20 babies in all and 3 sluggs. The litter consisted of Striped Sunglows, Striped Albinos, Striped Salmons Het Albino, Striped Het Albinos, a few normals...and BEST of all....Motleys Het Stripe Poss Het Albino!

There is no way to tell if the normals are 100% Het Albino now, but we will take that little loss with this litter!

The Litter

Striped Albinos

A few Motleys

We still have 10 more litters to go, but I doubt any will have as nice of a surprise in it as this one!

Thanks for looking!

That is AWESOME. I love SPLIT litters. You get the best of Both worlds. It has happened to me a few times, and it is AWESOME!!!! Also, MAJOR congrats on the Motleys. They look AWESOME. Great to see the lineage continue. Makes me a proud Grandpa. Anyway, I think EVERYONE needs to experience the Rush of having Motleys. Someday soon that will happen. There isn't anything like having a Nice Pile of Motleys to greet you after all the stresses of breeding season. CONGRATS!!!! Those Motleys look like STRONG BAD DUDES!!!!! Jeremy Stone
