false ...erm " pregnancy "

My female 2yo eveglades rat snake was acting all weird ...like she was hungry ...but would take no food. Acting very restless trying to escpae etc. She did'nt breed this year so ..the only thing I could think of was that she was full of unfertile eggs ... so I put a laying box in the cage with moist paper towels ...sure enough she layed ...what can only be slugs. She's still in there with them ....and the slugs are getting moldy ... when should I remove her ...or just wait 'til she leaves on her own??? thanks

I would go ahead and remove the slugs now. The female should do fine w/o them.
