Iguana poop...

mizar 21 Jul 29, 2004 11:57 AM

Sorry to bring this...messy...subject,lol, but i feed my iguana a mix of acorn squash, apple, green beans, cantaloup. His poop is a very soft. Is it something wrong ? I know i should add a lot more greens like collard, dandelion or alfalfa but i cant find any around here. Tonight i will try in other part of town. The first day he was here he had more firm poop, now it becoming a bit runnier. Is it because of what i feed him ?

I'm sorry, had to laugh...

When we adopted Forest his previous owners told us they would look like HUGE bird bombs...and they did!

A clear part, a stringy white part & a part of greyish-brown stuff. Yuck. Don't know how else to decribe them.

He had the runs once & it was ALL brown, ran together, nasty....you could obviously tell he was sick. That & he went about 20 times in 2-3 days...ugg...but that's another story.

Anyway, his normal potty looks like a huge bird bomb, twice a day, just like clock work.

Hope it helps.

Ditto here... man, why'm I reading this thread while eating lunch?... LOL

Anyway yeah, that's exactly how Grass's, uh, stuff looks. Only the more solid part is usually a dark green.

I feed Manuel a salad of Collard Greens, Mustard greens, and occasionally some grated squash on top. He seems to like it, and his....er....fecal matter looks...healthy to me.
