???? for Leo experts...more

We have a new leo now because the owner was having trouble with it. It sheds a lot more than usual and has a lot of trouble with his eyes. The eyes seem to always be covered in skin. Has anyone ever seen this before or have any ideas of what to do. He will eat some crickets but it takes him a while since he cant see very well, and you have to put the cricket right in front of him. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Do you have a shed box for him? My leo sometimes has problems with his eyes as well. I usually get a cotton ball with warm water on it and kind of soak his eye. After a little while he can lick it off by himself. This is how he looked when I first got him. Pretty bad, he couldnt see anything to eat it.

What do you use for a shed box? Would damp paper towels work? Hopefully he'll resume normal activity soon but he has to be uncomfortable. Thanks.

I personally use a half a coconut shell with paper towel on the bottom and a door cut out of the side. He loves it. You can use almost anything, a margarine container with a hole cut in the side, rubbermaid containers with hole in side, things like that that are plastic will hold the humidity good. Paper towel or moss works well for the humidity part. Its good to have something rough in the cage that they can rub against as well.
