The newspaper bedding

I have heard that it can make them feel safer if they can burrow in the shredded but I have seen pics with the paper flat. Please help I will get my BP next month in July. Also I wnt 2 know if color ink in the paper is toxic cuz I have heard it is but pics of BPs has color

...they don't need to burrow but it's OK if they do. Avoid the colored paper-inks can be toxic. Plus it looks like sh--!

I will be using shreded paper from my moms work. I have a good idea, I will let you all in on it when I get it done and get some pics.

We use paper towel as a substrate. It looks better than newspaper, and is absorbent and easy to clean. From what I've heard and experienced, BP's like a "Den" feeling. Close sides and low to the ground. I have half a log for mine, hollowed out, but I've seen people use tupperware and shoe boxes too. Good luck!
