Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.

A lamp not the sun, give them whole animal foods and dust their insects with miner-all or herptical with vit D3. Save the 20 every 6 months you would spend on those "magic bulbs" and spend it on something useful such as better food, a bigger better cage. Use of UV bulbs in my experience as well many many others is a bandaid for bad or improper husbandry, theres something wrong with the animals husbandry if UV lights are supposedly needed or suggested. Good luck, I dont use them on any reptile, even my beardies that live in a dark basement and lay 21 eggs every 3-4 weeks like clockwork.
Thanks. I am going to save the money for food. Although I don't have the monitor yet, I am going to get it once I save up the money. I WAS going to get a Dumeril's but I figured since I've never owned a monitor before, I better start off small. So I'm getting an Ackie.
Thanks again.

Good animal, shes about 2ft or so and decently friendly, as well a good feeding response.
