I found a couple of these on Pelee Isle (in Lake Erie). I was told it's a hybrid of the above mentioned species and tend to agree....anyone else have any thoughts on this??

I would never keep anything I find. In fact I am against anyone collecting wild herps for their own collection (of course animals in areas about to be developed, etc... are an exception). I'm glad to see there are more with my opinion out there....
Thats great to hear, i am totaly against it too. Unless there is a good reason such as your example, land being developed. I don't understand why people see something in the wild and have to have it, they usually take it home and have no clue on its care and ask on a forum. then the animal ends up dying. it is great to know i'm not alone on my opinion of leaving animals in the wild. nice picture again
I kinda agree with you but if you buy one from a pet store isnt it taken from the wild to?

I wouldn't buy one from a store either.....they keep much better in the wild.
