Surprising South Texas find today...

jpenney Jul 29, 2004 05:35 PM

This "little guy" was found on hwy 85 near the Nueces River in Dimmit County, Texas today. As you can see, he had been hit by a car and sustained facial injuries. He crawled into a nearby bar ditch and this is how he was found. He measured in at just under 13 ft and VERY fat and healthy.

You didn't mention if it was alive when you found it. Gosh I hope so, it kills me to see big animals like this that have survived on the earth for so long be wrecklessly injured or killed by idiots who can only be concerned about where they are going and how fast they'll get there.

Awesome picture, thanks.
