My melanistic male is about 10 inches long, probably longer, can never get a good measurement of him. He is usually eating 2 unscented pinky mice a feeding. But occasionally he gets quarter sized toads, or adult green frogs. I'm wondering at what length can I switch him over to fuzzies? He looks like he could easily take down a fuzzy right now.

I don't know about the genus Thamnophis, but in other snakes I have kept I always switched to bigger prey when I could no longer see a lump in the snake immediately after they eat.
