Small-medium arboreal lizards...

boidsntegus Jul 29, 2004 07:16 PM

I am getting a free glass terrarium that measures 2'Lx2'Wx3'T. Any suggestions (if any) for a small arboreal lizard? I already have a couple of crested geckos. I'm not really into the tiny lizards like anoles. I thought about chameleons, but a veiled would be too large for this enclosure. Would there be a smaller/better chameleon species that could live in this enclosure, maybe a Jacobson's? Any other types of lizards?

Maybe a green tree skink, or a changeable lizard (Calotes versicolor), sorry, no chams in an all glass aquarium. Chams need screen enclosures. just look for some small arboreal agamids if u like.

Do you have any links to any of those species you mentioned? I have never heard of the tree skink or changeable agamid. I may replace the glass with aluminum mesh and put a jacksons in there, I don't think 2x2x3 is enough for a veiled or panther.

Just use a good search engine like google / yahoo. On the green tree skink, its from a book, but maybe there is one on net. Just search and you will hopefully find an article

What about a leaftailed gecko or a giant day gecko? It is not good to keep chams in glass cages. They stress out too easily with reflections and they need fresh air.
