got the WT today from Jeremy Fry at BRRR, one of ProExotics '03 babies. Scotty's 6½mos old and 42-44" and really starting to thicken up. the WT is around 3'. when i put her in Scotty started wobbling his head around then got right to business, and hasnt gotten off. over 14hrs now! enjoy the pic. there are 2 other pics in the photo gallery.

Was it a "Jeremy Fry" at BRRR or a "Jeremy Myers"?

I wasn't trying to be a smart arse about it. It's just that I correspond back and forth through email with a Jeremyfry, just yesterday actually. I've also talked to Jeremy Myers and purchased from him in the past. I had no idea they were the same guy.

After all if its dominance there can be a female raping a male, a female raping a female, a male raping a male or female, or it could be actual breeding behavior. I could show you a few pics of 2 waters doing the same thing for over 3 days, after they separated I popped both, they were both males. I have those pics on a friends website. Im still not 100% sure on Scottys sex by your pics but hes filling out. The head is starting to look like a males head shape, but I havent seen his tail base yet. Whered ya get the WT, BRRR or ProExotics? The proexotics WTs that were for sale as hatchlings were imports but pretty, I remember calling them about one.

Jeremy got it from ProExotics and i ordered it from Jeremy because he said he couldnt find a good male for her.

Didnt Jeremy have some of FRs WTs also at one time or did he sell them to? Lets see some more pics of your animals, I wanna see that new female you got and that WT in a better pic.

i'll get some pics soon of Peggy. she looks very gravid to me. like she will pop anyday now so im pretty much leaving her alone. she is also going through a massive shed. she should be done in a day or two. the only time i saw Bob mate with Peggy was the first day about 4hrs after i put them together. since then i havent seen him show any interest in breeding with her. can they tell when they're gravid, and stop when they are? kind of weird that he would just stop. cant remember the exact day i got her but was around June10th. she has her burrows and then she has a seperate hole in the back-right corner of the cage, and she doesnt let Bob dig in there. if he goes over there she walks over and plops right down and gets in his way.
my new WT looks good, has a dark brown head though. im not sure what Jeremy did with all his whitethroats, i know he has gotten quite a few of them over a few years time.

Then 3 weeks came, she went to the vet, almost 4 weeks the eggs were removed along with her ovaries, shes too important to lose as a family memember because of my mistakes, its been over a year with her being fixed now. They swell when developing eggs, they will show more interest in the opposite sex and sometimes the same sex, be lazier and bask alot more when filled with eggs. Sobek lost 6.5lbs through 44 eggs being removed. Ive heard of the rare occiasion with a monitor laying beyond 4 weeks but 2 weeks after the 4 day cycle is normal. They also set down a dominance hiararchy right away when introduced in ones cage, reguardless of sex a male or female will mount and almost rape the other to show whos territory it is, its better than on of them getting injured, Ive also seen that first hand, a female albig almost kill a male.

well if Bob was trying to establish dominance then he did a crappy job of it. Peggy is definitely the dominant one. though they like doing different things. Peggy's favorite thing to do is dig. Bobs favorite thing to do is swim in his water area. he probably spends anywhere from 5-7hrs a day swimming/soaking, and humidity in their cage is pretty high. around 80%. works well for me. i am taking my Blackthroats and my whitethroat to the vet thursday. Dr.McGhee, i like him a lot and he has a lot of knowledge/experience with monitors and tegus, which is 90% of my collection.
