never had drymarchon being raised in s.tx i had captured texans as a boy but never kept any kinda wish i would of it was legal back then anywhoooo after lots of consideration i decided i would try unicolor cribo for my dry need if you will,,im expecting an '03cb male uni very soon and i have done some general research indigosnakes.com and some other caresheets and feel im ready, ive allways had kings and milks still do and allways will just gonna try some dry's, this male im told is eating f/k mice and w/some enticement should go for f/t either way im ready and kinda looking for any comments or suggestions thanks all,,,,,,thomas davis

Uni, very nice! Now you'll see who'd win in the getula vs dry fight first hand! lol

These guys are pretty easy to keep. I'm sure it will take f/t with no probs. For young drys, I just leave the food with them for a few hours in the afternoon and its almost always gone when I return. Just be patient.

My uni loves to be misted, so make sure and mist him every few days...just don't soak him! Also, be sure and get good ventilation in his cage to prevent any respiratory problems.

One more thing...if he's snappy now...handle him A LOT! The last thing you need is an 8' monster snapping at you! Get him used to handling now!

but being a lampropeltis man i'll stick to my guns kings are just that KINGS, though dry's are definately royalty on a chess board id say that drys are bishops or even a queen but NOT the king anyway thanks for the advise i hadnt heard about misting them,im definately looking forward to the uni he is a male'03 from dan felice and i reckon imma havta get a girl now ! well soon anyways,,,,, my name is thomas and i have a colubrid addiction

i wont thanks,,,i just am firm w/my opinion as others are with theirs,to each their own,,and btw cleo's 13yrs old now and has never eaten anything but rodents i dont think he would know about cannibilism or what to do w/another snake around,first time he ever saw another snake was breeding attempts last year and this year both unsuccessful, at anyrate he is 74andhalf inches and weighs in at 6lbs if anyone is coming to the ETHS expo in sept. i will have him at my table on display, and also if anyones wondering cleo is a e.chainking l.g.getula,,,from what ive read my lil uni'03will be that size probably by next year!should be cool to see him at 13yrs!cant wait,,,peace
