Question about GTP before they change to green....

kcaiman Jul 30, 2004 12:13 AM

I've been reading up on them a bit i probably won't aquire any in the near future but hopefully some day. Now for my novice question... is it just luck of the draw when they are born that some are red and some are yellow to start out with? Or are they different kinds? if so which species is which ? sorry if this seems to be a bit of common sense to you guys...
thanks for any answers

They are not species so types are really just guesses unless you can trace the clutches back to where the original pair was collected. Some pairs have all red babies some pairs just have all yellow, and some are always a mix. The juvenile coloration doesnt have much to do with adult coloration. .............................. I think, I'm just a newbie and I don't own Mr. Maxwell's book yet.
