Does anybody know if this is a long tailed brush lizard..?, I know they are in the range here-(i saw this one in san berbardino, just at the base of the foothills close to why.18), anyways, enjoy the pic.

Hi there,
I believe you have a great pic of the seemingly omnipresent Side-Blotched Lizard. Long-Tails are much thinner than Utas, and have a row of enlarged scales down the center of their back. Also most specimens have two white lines that run vertically down the back that border these enlarged scales. As I recall, the Tucson Herp society's homepage has a rather nice pic of your Urosaurus. Awesome pic though.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, i got lots of sideblothed lizards all around me, but this one was a little lighter than others, but it does have the black spots behind the arms. Thanks for the description of the long tailed brush lizard though, maybe I'll see one some time.
