My little trio of dune geckos seem to be doing a fine job of breeding, so here are some pics of the results so far. To-date I have 11 hatchlings with about 10 more eggs in incubation. These guys are super pets - I love how the adults will sometimes "chirp" at night.

Hi, im trying to breed mine, but i can never find the eggs in the sand. The female is always hiding it somewhere deep, although i think that her clutch was infertile...how did you find yours? And what did you do to stimulate them to breed? Mine are always calling...and are always waking me up!

I keep mine (1.2) on about 2 inches of sand with an under-tank heater on one side. The females always lay their eggs on the hot side of the tank, and bury them. I just go through the tank once every couple of weeks with a plastic spoon and carefully dig all the sand on that half of the tank. I am careful to go slowly because I read that the eggs need to stay the way they were laid - as if they have a top and bottom and should not be rolled over. I have never tested this theory. As I scrape away the sand slowly, I can usually spot the eggs in time to scoop under them with the spoon and remove them to the incubator dish.

Good luck with yours, the hatchlings are very entertaining - they are always waving their tails around in the air like tiny cats. A friend of mine jokingly refers to them as my little sand kittens.
