Respiratory Infection Q?

tigerlilie2 Jul 30, 2004 12:26 PM

I posted before in the ball forum, but it seems the boa forum always replies back quicker. You guys/gals are always great so I'll post my question here too...my question is:

I've been treating my snakes upper respiratory infection with my vet the last 2 weeks. She's cleared up now, and has no sign or indictations of the infection anymore. She was normally housed with another female her age/size in a HUGE enclosure, both are quarantined now though. And only one had the infection. But how long should the quarantine be before I put them together again? 2 months..3 months...longer??? I know about the disinfecting and cleaning of the original enclosure, and everything the post URI snake touches. But, how long should I keep it quarantined for?

All Replies are Welcomed....and appreciated greatly.

Well it seems nobody replied fast enough, but I would say at least 2-3 months, once your confident that the snake is cleared then all germs should be gone after dissinfection.
