automated misting question...

i have a mr. moisture mister from wet works and i have it set to mist four times a day for 1 minute, 2 minutes, 2 minutes, and 1 minute. the problem i am having is the saucer that my plant pot sets in fills with water by day 7. is there something i can do you keep the saucer from filling?

I have the same system, and I was misting for about the same amount of time as you are. I was having the same problem when I had ficus plants in my cages. They couldn't drink the water fast enough though, so that pan was always filling up. One of the plants died as well. I switched over to schefelera instead, and they've been able to handle that much water.
Now I have the chams outside, and am using an outdoor water timer that I bought from Home Depot along with some of those personal misting systems. It's so much easier having everything outdoors.
