Got reduced?

ginevive Jul 30, 2004 01:39 PM

I love reduced Bps.. I bought this little female a few months ago as a normal. My boyfriend insists it's reduced; I like to think she is, but I am very skeptical because
1) she has one or two black spots in her light areas; would this make her a "low grade" reduced?
2) So many of the reduced Bps I see are more banded, with little or no back-stripe, and they have large uncut areas of gold on their sides, while mine has the "alien head' shapes.
In short, is she reduced?
Incidentally, she's a great feeder and has a nice, aggressive temperament.

Had to jump through a couple of hoops in order to get to the picture, but I got it... yes... that is reduced... definitely not just a 'normal'... for comparison purposes... i've combined it to sit next to a picture of a 'normal' ball python... see the differences...?

Not a 'high dollar' reduced, I wouldn't think, as it does still have some of the black spotting, but it is not a normal either as it does have many 'empty' orange areas on it's pattern.

Also look at the colours as well... yours is very soft coloured... not the dark black and tan/brown patches of a normal either ...

I'm not a breeder myself... so I could be wrong of course... but that one certainly LOOKS like it at least has some reduced in it ...

*NOTE* I am not always the best with my words, so I did it this way... hopefully no offense was taken at me doing it this way.. just thought the easiest way to demonstrate what I was talking about was to picture it ...
