I have read in several post to limit the amount of sunflower seeds you feed. I have also read that you should up the fat levels for your breeders. Why would you reduce the amount of sunflower seeds you feed if you want to up the fat intake of your breeders?

Depending on what the fat %s are already you may not want higher. FAT rodents don't reproduce well. I limit sunflowers, but do have some in their diet.

...thanks again Sonjya. I created a mix of cat food(no red dye) pumpkin seeds, wild bird seeds and rodent feed (forget the name but have seen it recommended on here. Anyway, of my two colonies, 1 colony has had three females deliver pups! I am very excited, I have not taken a good count but from what I can tell there has to be over 25 babies maybe more! Thanks for all you advice. Also, I supplement with fruit and vegetables. My male is so paternal, he hanges out with those babies like he gave birth himself!
