So I got really bored last week and decided to convert this bookshelf into some gecko tanks...I really like the way it turned out and I hope you all like it to!

I'm heating it with heat tape and lighting it with some simple little strip lights; all on a timer.

What substrate are you using?

...that having the doors open downwards would be easier from a maintenance aspect.

Regardless, that looks really clean and professional. Always nice to see displays you wouldn't be afraid to have in your living room. Very, very nice!

Normally that would be true but these doors lift and slide in on a track!

Yes, if you want to, removing the bark will really decrease the risks for your leos. Even sand is risky. If you want something natural and safe slate or decorative tiles (sold at Home stores) are the way to go.

I have seen alot in my day. I must say that has to be the best thing I have seen in a long time!

Perfect for someone with a few gex and not alot of room...

really nice - just great! And I am really impressed by everyone on Kingsnake Forums that share there "secrets" on set-ups!

Some people tend to hold on to their inventions...

Thanks- It's really nice...

That's gorgeous. What did you use to line the shelves to keep in the substrate?
