I am new to Iggys but not new to reptiles. All animals are different. That's part of what makes them so wonderful. I have 10 Leopard geckos. Some are fine with being handled and I can take them in public to our "kids club" and let the children handle them. Some do not want to be handled. They wiggle, try to bite, try to jump out of my hands. I love them just as much as the "friendly" ones and respect their different tolerances for human interaction accordingly. I do not force them to be handled. I simply enjoy them as they are. Sounds like your Iggy is afraid of you. Sounds like you need to back off from the handling and just let her get used to your presence for a while. Just talk to her, feed her, take care of her, don't try to hold her for a while. Then start slowly with just petting her in the enclosure, work your way up to short handling sessions. That is my advise to you. Do not consider her "bad" or "not normal". Do not get frustrated or angry with her. Just appreciate her and love her and let her come to terms with you on her time frame.
