It's actually fairly cool; I was cleaning out his water dish today and found him in a burrow underneath it; it seems to extend to the area near a large tree root I've got in there, more or less the lenght of the cage. That's from what I can see anyway. I'd adjusted my mix a bit, looked like it works. Very cool actually. He's been going back and forth between it and the water dish, as it got well over 100 in my place today (no AC; cheap landlord).
But, I found a scorpion in the cage while in there; looks like one of a dozen Centurorides species we have here. I know he'll try to eat it (he eats anything that moves, and some things that don't). While I realize that they devour the African scorpions, I'm worried about his ability to handle it if he gets stung by one. I figure that thier venom is likely fairly different, and am not sure any immunity that they'd have to the African species would carry over. Anyone have any knowledge about this? I don't wanna just set out traps, because then, if they get into those and then into his cage (and thence his belly), he'd be ingesting pesticide, which I know ain't good.
thanks
me
