Distribution of niles in South Africa?

Range maps I am familiar with are general. Some seam to cover the majority of the country while others are more limited. I am understanding that niles in South Africa tolerate cooler temps than the rest have to. South Africa has a wide range of climate zones due to topography. What seams to be their limitations? Are they restricted to the coastal regions, in lower elevations?
