She's not typically what I think of when I think of a "reduced" ball python. Usually, there is a lot less black/dark showing between the yellow/tan markings or bands. That said, it IS reduced in the fact that there is very little black/brown spotting inside the tan blotches. It is very high-contrast and clean looking. Very nice looking ball python! Belowis a photo of one of my reduced/banded balls.

I would consider her reduced - no alien marks to speak of. I like her alot, where did you get her and how long have you had her?

Nice animal!

Thanks, Christy

I got her a few months ago from Alex Hue. Really nice guy to deal with

Reduced girl! We were so lucky to get this little girl last year, and she is now 500 grams and getting bigger everyday.

She's a very nice high contrast/clean patterned ball....meaning no "alien eyes".....but MO..it is not a reduced patterned ball. When I think reduced pattern....there is very little black and large areas of pattern..........hmm..come to think of it..the "title" doesn't really fit the description then does it

mistysprouse Jul 31, 2004 11:52 AM

we could call them the non alien head ball pythons

has anyone noticed that many of the albinos have no alien heads also. I noticed mine doesn't have any last night when I was looking for a picture of him to post, I went to RDR and looked at other albinos and most of them don't have the alien heads either. Just an observation.

Or "Solid Blotched" Ball Pythons.

Camlon that's my favorite snake in your collection too! Reduced pattern BPs are treasures in themselves. There my favorite normal colored to look at.

Yes I know it's in webmaster's 'shop'.

Nice looking ball, Violette! And I agree, extremely reduced/banded ball pythons are amazing animals to behold. I think in general I prefer pattern variants over color simply because color usually fades to some degree, but a unique pattern will never change.
