Frilly bad news

Frilled dragon died today,not sure why,but he never did act normal since i got him,allways laying around but hey i tried,so now i guess ill be looking for a new one but ill be more careful in my selection this time...

Not sure but he was acting all that normal from the time i bought him,allways sleeping and he rarely ate,but he did drink good,and idk whent in there one day and hes just in the basking spot dead..oh well i guess ill be more carefeull next time.

Sorry to hear about your frill... but you should probably look into what killed this one before you run out and buy another. Could have been something wrong with your setup, temps, humidity... was probably mostly stress from going through the reptile show and then going into a new environment.

They get stressed out when they're moved into a new cage and need some privacy to acclimate. If they can see other reptiles/pets or if you bother them too much they can become stressed out and not eat.

I don't know if you did your research or not before buying your frill... but I'd look into what the cause(s) could have been if you're considering getting another...
What are your cage temps?
What is your substrate?
What were you offering for food?
How often did it drink?
How often and how much did it eat?
Was it in a tank where it could see people or other pets?

If you want to answer those questions, maybe I (or anyone else here) can give you a better idea of what could have gone wrong.
