Very Concerned: Help ASAP!!

Ok, you all know about my Scamp. My now 11 month year old Beardie. Anyway, today I go to his room to take him out of hs cage and play with him a bit. As usual he responded to my voice, but when I placed my hand down to pet him on his head before picking him up, he swished his tail back and fourth. Ok, he has done that before but usually stops once I start stroking under his chin. Well, his beard got all puffed and he jumped up to bite my hand. Course I moved my hand before he could, and then I went back in to see if I could pet him again, before picking him up, so he knows I am not scred of him. Well his tail starts heavily swishing again and he starts snapping at the air. So I put on my gloves and go to pick him up, to show him that 1) I am not going to hurt him and 2) that I am not scared of him. But even in the towel he started snapping at the towel, the air, twisted his body all around while snapping, beard fully extended, and I amost dropped him twice, so I put him back in his cage. I have never seen him act so violently before in the 11 months that I have had him. He wasn't asleep, and he was just fine with me playing with him yesterday, but now he literally tried to attack me. The only reason why I can think he would act so unusual is because he felt threatened, but I didn't do anything differently that I hadn't done before. Should I be concerned or is he just having a really bad day? Because from all the reading I have been doing, beardied rarely ever attack a human and go on about it for 15 minutes...>< Since he still won't eat on his own, I have to hand feed him and give him the liquid supplements so holding him is kind of something I need to do so he can stay healthy. Help, please?!

I wouldn't worry too much, like you said he could just be having a bad day. you might want to try puting him in a warm bath to see if that calms him down a bit.

I'll definetly try that. If he will let me hold him long enough so I can get him in the warm water safely. =D Thanks and wish my luck!

He may have smelled something that made him mad. I had a friend once who's bearded caught a whiff of her cat and flipped out simalarly to that. The other thought i have is that if he isnt eating on his own, there is probably something wrong with him (duh on my part)...ANYWAY, my point here is that he may be in pain. Animals (reptiles especially) have a tendency to become very agressice if they are in pain.
