In the post that was pulled, Jason made statement about how the laws are being formed to stop us from keeping herps. While I agree with many parts of his statements, I do think there is hope.
In Omaha we had a law passed a few years back banning any snakes able to reach 6ft or larger. That law lasted no more then 2 years before it was changed, and we are now allowed to keep 8ft or smaller (allowing redtails again).
More recently we have recieved word that due to the humaine societies inablity to distinguish a bci from a bcc, we are now able to keep ALL red tail boas.
So just because one sides fighting to limit our rights, doesnt mean with some hard work we cannot save our rights, even when temporarily pulled from us.
Keep up the good fight, join you local herp society, and be active in protecting your rights as a herper, as a American citizen, and in the end we should all be ok.
