Will distilled water be alright?...

For the dart from tank that have very high humidity i use distilled water to keep any built up on tyhe glass down... Would this be necesary? Also, i know they drink off themselves so would it still be alright if distilled water is what they're drinking or would normal water be best? what do you guys do??

I believe that distilled water would not be really good for a couple reasons. if you have a live plant in your cage it wont get the right minerals from the distilled water , same goes for your green tree since this water has been evaporated before it lacks the minerals in water. For just some spot marks on a tank i rather give my animals the best source of water, i just clean the cages more frequently which isnt that bad after all.
