he is like 12". He will not eat anything but crickets, I have tried scrambled eggs, pinkys, chopped pinkys, ground turkey and he will not eat it only crickets and worms. How can I get him to eat other things?

the only thing i can think off is putt him of food for a longer period of time then you normally do, then try a live pinky, if it doenst work, try a dead one where you slit the forehead with a sharp knife. have you tried all kinds of worms?? buffalo´s rain worms and teh ones that turn ino night butter fleis(dont know what they are called in english, first try those, dont starve your monitor in order to get him to eat something else!! and use suplements!!!

First off, how old is your ackie. Secondly, why does it concern you that it only eats crickets and worms. We have produced and sold a lot of ackies in the last few years, and we feed 95% crickets. Only occasionally will we feed anything else. Our babies will easily reach lengths of 15 inches in a year or so and grow to around the 2 foot mark. As long as your animal is healthy and growing, I would not be concerned that it only likes crickets. They are a good staple diet.
