You are on the right track, it is obviously interested in feeding. Try leaving the dead chick in the cage overnight. I have seen young greens eat chicks they've killed almost a day later. If it has not been eaten by morning, the next time, put the live chick in at lights out and then see if it has been eaten the next morning. Some young greens are shy in the beginning, and can be scared off a prey item if they see nearby movement. Some feed better at night, at first, because they feel more comfortable and are less likely to be disturbed while feeding. Let us know how it goes.

What I do with my young green is feed right at lights out. When yours grabs its prey and wraps it, turn the lights out and leave the room. I have seen mine constrict a rat for 2 hours until lights out and then eat it. Good luck

Same advise...leave because I have noticed they dont usually mind killing in front of you but they dont like to eat (makes sense..they are vulnerable when eating). Lights out and leave...sometimes my girl will hold onto it for a long time without eating and then just start when she feels secure and I am not a risk. Good luck
