hey gang.. just a few updates pix of our dragons...

dragonsbynature Jul 31, 2004 10:51 PM

Here are some pictures we took the last few days because we were bored.. hope everyone likes them.

Hatchling just pipping through the egg.

Couple hours out of the egg.

Nice Orange/Red x Patternless Snow... this one will develop into the nice "Orange Snows" we produce. Hope it's a female!

Don't fall little dude!

Saphire.. nice red and orange colors. When fired up she's almost all red.

Independence.. she's almost ready to breed... gorgeous light orange and blue colors.

Trinity... awesome red and orange.

Cute closeup of Trinity.. just liked the expression.

Thanks for looking.

Hey how are those Cawleys looking? Are they still holding their color pretty well. I also saw your Bloods they look just like mine but I already sold one and most likely will sell the other one just like you.

Thanks man. The Cawleys are all looking great.. very happy with them so far.. we bought a 10 lot of bloods and sold off most... we are keeping back two that have insane amounts of red and orange but the others were not quite as vibrant so we are letting them go. Don't need that many males or females from the same line.. just bought a bunch to see which ones turned out the best. Happy with the two we are keeping.

They all look great. You have some beautiful dragons there. Independance is so BIG. Looks like you are treating her right!

By the way, I LOVE your breeding section on your site. I have sent about 100 people there over the last few months.

Heya,

Thanks.... yea Independence is a fantastic dragon. She is by far one of our favorites and one of the best dragons we have.. thank you for sending us such a dragon. She's definitely spoiled... she's doing real well. The male we got from you is doing quite good as well and is growing very fast.

Thanks about the breeding section.. wrote it awhile back to help pepole out who wanted a decent overall accord of what goes on. Glad it's helped some people out. I've sent a few people your way too looking for high oranges/reds.

Thanks again Jen, your dragons are fantastic as always.

Brandon,

(referring to the bottom bigger dragons)
Those pale bars that would have been black or purple, look a lot like the bands on the "super hypo" Honduran Milksnakes. Not just the lessened black as a normal hypo but the "black" turns into that dull, glazed appearance. Perhaps the same genetic mutation?

They are also, or now called extreme hypo. This is a pic of one, not my pic, I linked to the Milksnake forum.

Man...OFF THE SUBJECT BUT THAT IS BEAUTIFUL HONDURAN Milk Snake!
Don't mind me I just bought my first Honduran Milk snake all of 3 days ago. I got lucky as I commited to the purchase and the breeder wanted to hold the one I got back. Sounds like a line but - he does have an interesting pattern - very thin banding and the breeder ran out right after my purchase. So I think I may have got the best of his clutch
Thanks Steve

That was not my snake or pic. You are right though, that is a nice one. I don't have any hypos, just Tangerines, Anerys, Tangerine Albino's, and a couple Tricolor which are double het for snow (Anery & Albino)

We hatched this girl out last year.

That there is probably the most spoiled dragon & that pic show how she is treated. So Cheri, did you get satin sheets for her Barbie bed? lol I'm still waiting to see a Beardie Hot tub installed in her cage.

I think it was grimdog that said his would drink from the hamsster ones that hang on the side with the little metal spouts, but I wonder if they drink from this one too.

He didn't like it that much, so I got him a full-water dish he can play in. He'll jump in it, then dip his head in to drink from it, which is so cute.

I replaced the hammock with a leather one I made for him out of the pattern of the old one. I need to take newer pix of his tank for everyone.

That is awesome! Where did you find something like that?

It's funny to me that you noticed that Joel... good call/catch. I have wondered the same thing myself since we've had her. Even as a hatchling she's never had any type of dark pigment (black or brown) and has always had those intense bright colors... 24/7 even when cold.. so there is def something on there.

It will be interesting to see how she breeds out. I'll post some pix of her later as a baby so you can see even then how much she stands out from the siblings.

BTW, our "she-male" laid two cluthces with more on the way.. looks like you were right! Maybe I should have you come up this way and teach me how to do these dragons right eh? lol. Good call again joel.
