Hi,
This is my male Trans-Pecos Rat. I think that "subocs" are just beautiful!
Thanks for looking.

When will you get offspring from your dark suboc?
This is the third yr I have tried to breed him to a certain female. Every yr I have witnessed copulation. The first yr I got 7 eggs and only one was good. She hatched and is a georgeous dark female that I kept. Last yr all bad eggs and this yr I saw them copulate and am waiting for eggs. I also put him on another female this yr but haven't seen anything. I think it may be a problem w/ him. I'm crossing my fingers.

...I live in Southern Ontario, Canada and subocularis are VERY uncommon in collections up here.
I used to have a nice group, but I sold them about five years ago (what a fool!). Anyway, a good friend was eventually able to have a pair located for me this year in the U.S., and they were shipped up with an order of his animals.
If I could only keep one type of snake, I seriously think that it would have to be the Trans-Pecos Rat Snake.
They are so distinctive in colouration and pattern and they have a particularly elegant shape. And the eyes! Wow!
Thanks again!
