my young son and I caught this 9" baby milk snake - we were gonna keep it for a day and let it go-until we realized it's backbone was crooked about 2/3rds the way towards it's tail-i should post a picture here- it's scales are 'smudged' with black around this 'broken' looking area-we figured it may have been run over by a bike on the side of the road we found him by--he acts fine and healthy and has eaten a few thawed pinkies in the 2 weeks we've had him-he passes his bowels ok-he's even grown some--should we keep this snake as a pet or return him to the wild once he's 'nursed' back to health?
