Reduced pattern project

marksherps Aug 01, 2004 06:55 PM

I've been working to prove the genetics of a real nice extreme reduced pattern ball owned by Tracy Barker. Last year I hatched 6 real nice gold bandeds but didn't prove it out. This year I hatched 8 babies and this one came out silver and black. Now that it shed I don't know if its axanthic or not? Looks like it!

but axanthic....it looks "normal" brown in the pic.

Nonetheless....Congrats with the aberrant banded!!

Thanks thats kind of what I'm thinking too. It sure looked promising before the shed though. I'll breed a pair of last years babies this year and hopefully learn something! Thanks
