Shedding

amhassell89 Aug 01, 2004 08:47 PM

My Bearded Dragon hasn't shed since I got it 4 1/2 months ago, exept she HAS shed around her eyes about a month and a half ago. I've fed her a diet of mostly collard greens, squash and mealworms. (all dusted with calcium.) Is this issue about not shedding a problem? How often do Bearded Dragons normally shed?

If it's a full grown adult then it's not to uncommon to go a long time between sheds. It also can get stretched out with the shedding of different body parts at different times. The younger they are, the more frequently they shed & their body parts shed closer together.

How old is your dragon?
