appetite change when shedding?

iamjason Aug 01, 2004 08:48 PM

today my 5 month old panther is shedding. i put a few superworms in his feeding cup about 5 hours ago and he still hasnt touched them. normally they are eaten within minutes of being placed in his cage. i dont feed him supers all the time so i dont think hes tired of them, and im pretty sure they are his favorite food. the only other thing i can think of is i started feeding him silkmoths this week so maybe hes decided he likes those best now? im not super worried, but this is the first time ive seen him go all day without eating so any input is appreciated.

thanks

I don't know if this is normal but my Jackson's was the same way. He would eat about 5 of 6 crickets a day and when he started shedding he only ate about 1 or 2. Now since he just stopped shedding it seems hes eating about 4 or 5 now.
