I've never had this happen, please help!!!!!!

I have a 10 year old columbian who has never given me any problems what so ever. The worst I've ever had to deal with was a stubborn shed now and then, which was always resolved by soaking. BUT, she's having a bad shed now like I've never seen before. Most of the skin came off, but about 35% of the skin (in different patches all over her body) seems like it's DETERMINED to stay. I've tried soaking her for a long, long time but the skin does not want to loosen. In spots where she has tried to rub this off, it's stuck so bad that it looks like it's taking part of the new skin with it. Anyone ever had this happen before? Please help! Thanks!

when my snakes have bad sheds I soak them in flavorless pedialite over night. It rehydrates them quick and the rest of the skin falls right off.
