You are unsure if the bottom of your cage can support tiles? Or if the tiles can support your cage accessories? Tile is pretty strong and can hold lots of weight. I got my tiles at Lowes in the section where inventory is marked way down. Normally they were $3.50 each (approx square ft each)but I got them for $0.71 each. Was discontinued product, but I only need 5 of them for two 20gallon long tanks.

sorry i should have cleared that up im worried about the cage being able to hold the tiles
If this is a glass tank that you are talking about there's not to much to worry about. Let's assume that it's a 10 gallon tank.
water: 1 gal. = 8.33 lbs.
so a 10 gallon tank holds the weight of 83.30 lbs. Tiles will not weight near that even if throughout your whole tank even on the walls!
