ok, ive wanted a large lizard for a long time i have experience with many types of reptiles and decided to get a tegue instead of an iggy, but i need to know what type of tigue is te best to get temperment wise? thanx

Hello there. I have one each of the following Argentine Red, Argentine B&W, Columbian B&W, and a Blue. All of mine are friendly and do well with kids and handling. Of course mine were always handled and are constantly socialized. I think with a Tegu as with any animal there are the ones that will simply be more aggressive than others of thier type. But with handling they will all mellow out. Typically though your Argentine reds and b&w will be the most mellow from the start. Blues are right there with them but are a little smaller in overall size when full grown. Columbians seem to take the most work to tame down. I hope this helps you out some good luck.
