Hey !!!
She is a double het ... Het for Motley and het for Ultra (Ultra is the "new" Type D Hypo gene). Since the Ultra is a new type of hypo and as I understand it not compatable with the other established Hypos out there (A, B, & C) I see most folks labeling them as such. From what I have seen the ULTRAS are very bright animals )

When bred to other "like" animals carrying the ULTRA gene
(HYPO D') She should make ULTRA AMBERS which are VIVIDLY bright !!! The Mot adds even a NICER looking offspring )

THANKS SO MUCH for your kind words and interest ))

I got ultra hypos from RZ and bred it to a big ole' okeetee wannabe looking snake that is het for amel...

guess she is het for hypo too....

half are hypo......half normal..all het ultra I guess....I am not keeping any to find out what happens.....

I hate my ultra..he hates me....crazy thing......he has to go too.....before I kill him...he is nuts...LOL

(ever since he lost his wife he hated me)......

... a HUGE amount of the information is contained elsewhere... (email me if you want more info).

Suffice to say, the THEORY is that ultra is a codominant allele to amelanism, double het animals being some sort of 'ultra-amel' in-between (aka ultramel). There's going to be some breeding trials to prove it, but those won't happen till next spring. Suffice to say, all we have are numerous datapoints of clutches where an ultra or an ultramel was bred to an amel or a het amel, with the expected ratio of ultramels to whatever-else resulting.

Again, the THEORY is that we may have found a codominant gene to amel... that gene being ultra. If you want details, email me... (can't post it here, sadly)

...assuming the THEORY is correct (and right now it's just a theory... we could be wrong you know *GASP*)...

Assuming the THEORY is correct, there is no such thing as an ultra amel (double homozygous for ultra and amel). Assuming the THEORY is correct, one can only have homozygous ultra, homozygous amel, or het ultra/het amel (aka ultramel).

Assuming the THEORY is correct... the following picture is an ultramel motley.

(Email me for details on the whole ultra mess... Among other things, there's just too much data to re-post it here...)

Once again... assuming the THEORY is correct, here's an ultramel hatchling.
