I'm just curious if most of the people on this forum have named their snakes and what some of those names are...
so what are those interesting names you've given and for what species of snake?

Fat Bastard is a young male unicolor cribo. Turned two last June and is approaching 7 ft. length and would eat too much given the chance. Other than feeding time, he's a gentle giant. He lunged a foot past the tongs yesterday thinking my hsnd was a rat. Fortunately, he didn't start chewing
Mullet Fingers is a yearling Eastern indigo male, hopefully destined to be the father of many red-throat offspring. Nine month photo attached.
Other Drymarchon here are great, but the above two ar special.

Excellent animal, excellent Pic.
Nicely done Steve...

I only have two snakes that I have named. One is a gigantic Yellowtail female that I got from Dean Alessandrini. Her name is Evil Bi#ch. She lives up to her name. She's over 8 feet long, working on 9 feet, weighs about 12 lbs and will absolutely take a shot at you any time she gets an opportunity. She wants to kill me. She has a plan to drag me into her cage and drown me in her water bowl. The only way I survive it is if I have food to offer her when I open the cage, then she lets me live.
The other one I have named is a 7 ft male Texan that I got from Carl Gossett. His name is Chainsaw. He helped E.B. come up with her plan.

Now that I've been called out and have posted, I guess it's an easy road back to this forum.
We have names for all our Dry's: Shadrack Meshack the Indigo was our first. Male Texan... Two more 2004 baby Texans await names.
Bobl provided us some Y/T's. One we call "Surprise". Both as a tribute to Patrick O'Brian and the fact that he can give me quite the bloodletting, whenever he so decides. LOL! You just never know when he's gonna get his knickers in a twist.
We have another Y/T (Silver Queen) who is an absolute sweetheart. Never known to bite, great animal.
Then there is "Banshee", aptly named. She will likely either eat you or just bite herself. Thankfully she's not fully grown yet.
Have a couple of others that are named but they are not Dry's. We had the misfortune of naming one Y/T that didn't make it. As a result we don't name anymore before a year. Then we'll be sure they'll be with us.

Jeff Nichols
Good to see you posting on here again...now if we can just get Chris to come back around once in a while...
Looking forward to seeing you and the spousal unit in Daytona...

Mr. G.
No need to scream dear sir, LOL
As much as I want to avoid this environment, there is not much movement elsewhere. I will continue to visit other forums but this one is where the action seems to be. I guess perhaps I'm growing up somehow....maturing after 40 some odd years. My affection/loyalty resides with Drymarchon and frankly this is where I find most of the info
The greater good and all that...
We need to work on Chris.

I was not the “snake naming” type, but these guys have such personalities, it’s hard not to.
Here are a few of the better ones from now and the past:
“Lady Evil” , a WC yellow tail that laid eggs for me last year (name says it all)
“Cleopatra” The nicest yellowtail female in the history of the world.
“Elliott” a male yt named in tribute to the great Dry breeder
“Cooper” the first indigo I ever produced. A 10 year old male red-phase eastern indigo still in my collection (see his photo on the top of this page)
“Charlotte” , couper female named after the city in NC…where I bought her
“Amelia” female TX, named after Amelia Erhardt. This snake was lost by Delta during her transit to me in January for a day and a half…turned up just fine though.
“Nero” My biggest male couperi
“Flakey” Got the name because she was a picky feeder as a baby (fine now)
“Brutis” An 8.5’ bully of a male TX…
The rest are named after people I know…they don’t know it…
I have an 02 female eastern named Sheba, after the queen of Sheba, one of Solomon's wives from the Bible.
I also have an 03 female that I have not yet named. anyone know the names of any of Solomon's 100's of wives? LOL
And, i'm getting an 04 male soon that I will name Solomon.
Eric
Mmmmm lets see here
only have Easterns but..
8 year white chinned male; my newest acquisition is 'Cruise'
unknown age redfaced female, pet shop special; 'Tango'
6 YO red faced female bred by Dr. Phil Blias; 'Stella'
5 YO whitechinned female bred by Phil Blais; 'Heini'
3 YO black male bred by Dwight Sayers; 'Mambo'
3 YO black female bred by Dwight Sayers; 'Voodoo'
Hey Eric....... you can name your 2nd female 'Concubine' since the bible refers to Solomon's 100 concubines....... guess thats a bibical term for common law marriage or bein 'shacked up'...... LOL... poor Solomon.... wondering if he housed them all in seperate tents.... hahahahaaaa
Just a thought.
