Okay, This may sounds confusing, maybe even complicated. I know there are many out there who can answer this. This has been puzzling me for some time now, and I just cant find it anywhere and I need to ask someone.

Okay, I have 2 very heathly adult snakes, well, actually 3. Two are Cornsnakes - 1 male, 1 female. The female cannot breed until this next season coming up; and also have 1 Pueblan Milksnake which is a female.

There is a lot of Hybrids out there which people have matched together to try something new and see what you get. I know a lot of people out there dont agree with that, however despite that I am still looking to try and match my 4'8" ft male sunglo corn, to my 3'11" Pueblan.

Does anyone see a problem with this? I dont see how that would be possible, The June03' issue of Reptiles (magazine) had a Elaphe guttata x Lampropeltis triangulum sinaloae hybrid.

Now the Sinaloan is a much smaller milksnake then the Pueblan, still only by a few inches, however, the corsnake is a much larger snake, so if it can be done with a sinaloan, why not a pueblan. Isnt a Pueblan also L. t. (something) possibly campbelli?

Anyways, im not sure if that matters too much.

Another question. Is there anything wrong about breeding snakes 'out of season' if they are willing to copulate anyways? Isnt the brumation period only really for the male to increase sperm count, and... it is however prior to breeding season.

Either way, I will begin starting my breeding projects this winter with my first snakes, Ive had an incredible success rate with my waterdragons this last year after the cooldown.

i wouldnt waste your time with the hybrid forum, it like a few others are only a select few people that only help each other and not "newbies". you will be looked at as an outsider and i truely doubt you will recieve any help from them. that is only my opinion though
