Hi all! It's been a while since I posted here, but I have 1.2.2 cresties (that looks like it's going to be 1.4). The two largest are a female 40 grams and a male 35 grams (as of about 6 weeks ago, before I moved).
The female was very difficult to find in the enclosure for over two weeks but has been easier for find the last week or so and appears to be a bit heavier. She eats like a champ, and might just have gained weight, but she's significantly broader than the male (0.5" or so). I tried to palpate for eggs this evening, but couldn't feel anything that I could positively identify.
I haven't had any eggs show up before, but I'm wondering if these may be signs that she's gravid now. She and the male have been housed together, separately from the 3 littler cresties. Do these sound like signs of a gravid female, or are there any consistent signs other than the sudden appearance of eggs?
Thanks!
