Problems with Moonstruck cages

ncldbld Aug 03, 2004 10:28 AM

Has anyone had problems dealing with Moonstruck exotics. A little story if anyone is looking to buy cages from them. I oedered 6 four foot cages from them on 6-11-04. They did cut me a good deal. To this date (8-03-04) I have only received 4 cages and 3 of those did not come with the heat tape they were supposed to come with. I received my first cage in 2 weeks and the next 3 came at 6 weeks. I am know going on my 8th week without my other two cages. Mind you the delivery time given by Moonstruck is 3 weeks. I have e-mailed them and they said they would take care of me. That was around 7-22-04 and before my 3 heatless cages arrived. I have e-mailed them 4 times since then and have not received any contact back. So I am sitting here with a 6 cage order that was supposed to take 3 weeks (since the order was big I would of accepted 4 weeks) and I only have one functional cage. Just something for all of those out there who might be looking for cages.

I have heard other people in this same situation. I've talked to ME several times and they fully admit that they had some growing pains. Their products are incredible and I don't believe they were prepared for the interest in their products (I had similar issues...as a lot of start-ups do). They also had some shipping issues that caused delays in orders.
I don't know why you would have received the wrong item or are not getting a response to your requests, that is the first time I've heard of issues like that with them, but I do hope they rectify it with you ASAP.
Good luck and keep us posted,
Jason

I am now goig on my 11th week without my last two cages and heat for 3 of the 4 cages I already have. I have not heard anything back from Moonstruck and at this point have given up and began looking at Boaphile cages for my next purchase. I highly recommend Boaphile cages from previous experience it is just not worth switching manufacturers if you are happy....believe me I have found out the hard way.

I had a pretty similar problem to yours. It took them over a month and a half to get my cage to me. I got the cage with a big crack on the top and chunks of it missing probably due to shipping. The Back wall of the cage was slowly coming off at the top also. I e-mailed them a few times and they promised me a better deal next time i purchased from them, they also said they would send me a cage repair kit. Never happened, they also stopped responding to my e-mails. I won't do business with them again.
