Hatchling snapping turtle

I caught a Hacthling common snapping turtle the other day by my house right now he is in a shallow goldfish pond (3-4 inches of water) but i was wondering how long it takes him to get bigger not full grown just bigger. right now he eats small goldfish minnows and pinky mice

Actually when given unlimited food, they grow extremely fast. I had one about the size of a nickel, it grew to a 4 inch shell length in like 5 months.
